We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address), information generated through your use of the Service (test answers, band scores, study activity, streak data), and technical data (browser type, IP address, device type) for service improvement and security purposes.
We use your information to: (a) provide and personalise the Service; (b) track your progress and generate performance analytics; (c) send service-related communications (e.g., account confirmation, payment receipts); (d) improve our AI feedback models using anonymised, aggregated data; (e) comply with legal obligations.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Firebase infrastructure operates in data centres that comply with ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 standards.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: (a) service providers necessary to operate the platform (Firebase, payment processors); (b) legal authorities when required by law. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay or Stripe — we do not store card details on our servers.
We use session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. We do not use tracking cookies or share cookie data with advertisers. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect functionality.
Your writing and speaking submissions may be processed by AI systems to generate feedback and band score estimates. This processing is automatic. Submissions may be used in anonymised, aggregated form to improve model accuracy. We do not use your submissions for advertising purposes.
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; object to processing of your data. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@ieltsprep.app. We will respond within 30 days.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).
The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
